Notes

Worked examples, and what the code actually says.

Reference notes on reinforced concrete design to Eurocode 2 and ACI 318 — written the way the sheets are written, with every step traceable back to the clause it comes from. No news, no announcements.

What these are for

Written to be checked, not skimmed.

Every note here carries the same standard as the spreadsheets: the clause reference sits beside the working, the arithmetic is shown rather than asserted, and where a provision is genuinely ambiguous it is flagged as ambiguous instead of quietly resolved.

On the desk, not the blog

These are reference documents meant to be useful the day you hit the problem — not commentary with a shelf life measured in weeks.

Arithmetic in full

Worked examples run end to end with real numbers, so you can put your own section beside them and follow the same path.

Corrections welcome

If you find an error in a note, tell us and it gets fixed. The same invitation applies to the sheets.

What is being written next.

Roughly in this order. If one of these would be more useful to you sooner, say so and it moves up.
